In the Sierra Madre of Chiapas, heavy rains are a regular part of life — and sometimes, they’re so intense that entire sections of road disappear. That’s exactly what we’re dealing with right now. We managed to drive up to the farm in a truck, but now we’re stuck — the road has been completely washed out. We’ve tried placing logs and branches to block or support the way, but the rain just keeps coming, sweeping everything away. It's all part of the challenge of growing coffee in such a wild and stunning place.
